Time to give some big props to our membership coordinator,
Nicole Baldridge, who is currently doing her residency in women’s health at
UPMC! Way to go!
What is a residency? It is a post-professional
clinical and didactic education program designed to advance the clinician as a
provider of care in a specially defined area of clinical practice. There
are currently five residencies in women’s health that are credentialed by the American
Board of Physical Therapy Residency & Fellowship Education (ABPTRFE). There are two developing programs that
have applied for credentialing from the ABPTRFE. Programs typically last from
nine to fifteen months.
